Ismael Miranda
The Puerto Rican Ismael Miranda got involved
in popular music at an early age, participating in different
local bands before forming a group with Andy Harlow. He debuted
in 1967 with the release of an album recorded together with
Joey Pastrana, featuring the hit "Rumbón Melón".
In 1973, Ismael Miranda joined Fania
All-Stars with the nickname "Niño Bonito"
(Pretty Boy) due to his youth. He then got together his own
orchestra called La Revelación, with which he released
a successful full- length record titled "Así se
compone un son". Soon afterwards he went on a world tour.
