Johny Rivera
Johny Rivera was born and raised in the midst
of a Puerto Rican family settled in the New York Bronx and
studied in the Benjamín Franklin School in Manhattan.
After a temporary visit to Puerto Rico, the artist returned
to New York, becoming involved in the tropical music scene.
Johny Rivera’s debut took place with a compilation called
"Noche Caliente", singing "Terciopelo y Piedra",
soon after he joined Grupo Fascinación and later he
joined Conjunto Clásico. After singing for RMM Records,
his album debut, called "Y ahora de Verdad", was
released in 1991.
