Victor Manuelle

This New Yorker raised in Puerto Rico is one of Salsa’s best and newest talents. Figures that particularly influenced him include Ismael Rivera, Cheo Feliciano and Gilberto Santa Rosa. His musical beginnings were very unusual. In 1986 he was at Gilberto Santa Rosa concert when he suddenly jumped onstage to sing alongside Santa Rosa. Liking what he heard, Santa Rosa put Manuelle in touch with Don Perignon, who included him in his band as a singer, until he was hired by Sony Tropical in the early 90’s.
