Willy Chirino

By amalgamating traditional Cuban music, and North American rock and jazz, singer and band leader Willie Chirino created what is known as the "Sonido Miami" in Salsa. Among the artists that have sung his songs are Raphael, Ricardo Montaner, Rocio Jurado, Celia Cruz, Oscar D'León, Angela Carrasco and Jorge Muniz.

Chirino also composed the main theme songs for soap operas such as "La Zulianita" and "Pobre Diabla".
