Voyage Culture Cuba offers its students the
chance of diving right into Cuban dance. The possibilities
range from the traditional Afro-Cuban dances to the timba
to the latest development in salsa, and include Santería
dance courses, percussion courses and the classic son and
danzón lessons.
Classes last for a total of 16 hours in which the different
salsa styles, Afro-Cuban dances and the Rueda de Casino are
taught. Many rehearsal hours are added on a daily basis. It
is possible to arrange for private lessons with the instructors,
at an extra charge.
Some of the extracurricular activities of the course include
outings to dance bars and clubs where students can apply what
was learnt in class, a Havana city tour and optional visits
to a cigar factory, the Rum Museum and the Afro-Cuban Museum,
always accompanied by one of the schools instructors.
